Lent is a time for reflection and contemplation, and as usual there will be study groups during Lent, which this year will be held online. You might like to do this by becoming more aware of the natural world around you either on your daily walk or just by looking out of the window. You may find it helpful to use Through the Window, Connecting with Nature when you Can’t get Outside suggests Revd Jacqueline. We hope you find this useful and would appreciate your feedback. Download it as a PDF here.
Our Lent Book this year is Candles in the Dark: Faith, hope and love in a time of pandemic. Twenty-Six short reflections from Bishop Rowan Williams, one of the most profound and pastoral Christian thinkers of our times. Available online for £10 or less and locally from Perivale Christian Bookshop (Click and Collect) and Pitshanger Books.
There will be an opportunity to meet together as part of our daytime and evening groups via zoom for prayer, coffee & catch up and to discuss the book over four weeks. Week 1 Thursday 25 Feb 7pm or Friday 26 Feb 9.30am; Week 2 Thursday 4 March 7pm or Friday 5 March 9.30am; Week 3 Thursday 11 March 7pm or Friday 12 March 9.30am; Week 4 Thursday 18 March 7pm or Friday 19 March 9.30am
The format for the Lent groups is Prayer and drinks for 45 minutes followed by the book review at either 7.45 pm or 10.15 am. Please contact Fr Graham if you would like to know more and would like to be part of the Lent Groups.
